Sophie Calle
Sophie Calle is a French writer, photographer, illustration artist, and conceptual artist who's work is distinguished by it's use of constraints. Her work depicts human vulnerability and examines identity and intimacy. She was known for her ability to follow strangers and her ability to investigate into their private lives. He photographs are often accompanied by panels of text of her own writing. When speaking about how to continue with my chosen theme and style of adding text to my photographs but in a domestic setting, her name kept popping up.
This selection of photographs are what I know to be the stronger images. Making these photographs was a hard tack because I was forced to look at my home from an objective point of view and to not be scared of what others would think of my home. Photographing like this isn't something that I am used to yet and it did leave me feeling vulnerable because it allowed others to see how I lived. Once I have had a tutorial or crit I can see what others think to the direction which I am headed towards.
