Next Steps

So far I have gone through all of the photographs that I have made during this project and picked what I know to be my strongest photographs. I had a second tutorial where I discussed my images and future development. Due to the lock down I am unable to go out and make new photographs so to counter this I am going to explore how I can display my images and get them out to the public. We discussed printing my images out and pasting them in different locations within Wombwell whilst out for my daily walk. Making books was also discussed as a way to document and display my work.

To do:

  • Print out images that I want displayed
  • Go out and put these selected images up
  • Take photos of them in these locations
  • Go back out at a later date to see what happened to them
  • Make different form of books

Further Pixel Abstraction

Abstraction

Pixel Abstraction

This collection of images were made by using photographs that I had made whilst I went running through the woods. I hadn't found any reason to use these images so far but decided to experiment by editing them using the same technique as the first pixelated photograph.

Pixel Experimentation

The following collections of images are pixel experimentation's which were made in Photoshop from the ground up. This first collection of images are from my Highstreet collection that I began working on at the start of this project. I chose to start here because I wanted to find a way of using these images to develop on rather that leave them behind. These Highstreet images are my strongest images from this collection. The pixel abstraction was something that I found fresh, new and fun to experiment with but I don't think they fit well with this kind of abstractions. For me my eyes don't dance around the image naturally.

This edit was made by using the strongest image that I had made from the natural landscape images. This style of editing works well with this style of photograph because the grass makes your eyes move up the image due to the lines it makes. This is enhanced by the bright coloured pixels that is layed on top of the grass.

This image is the weakest of my newest edits because it has been abstracted to the point where you cant make out what it is anymore. I need to practice with the idea that less is more.
