Using the whole text on my Photographs

For this collection of experiments I chose to try including the whole text on y photographs using both photoshop and my handwriting. After doing this I have found that this is the direction which I want to go. Using all of the texts written on each day I was in Scotland allows me to provide more context as to what I want the images to be about. Before doing this I found it difficult to try explain what my intentions were with just the photographs and small extracts of my text. The photographs before didn't quite show the freedom that I had discovered whilst away from my family. They also didn't allow me to show my exploration of mortality whilst I was separated from my Nanan.

The digital experiments are much better when compared to previous ones but because of it's simple text it does look like anyone could have done it which makes it far less personal. The handwritten ones however do the complete opposite. This is the direction I will be progressing further with through out the rest of this project. To develop further I am going to experiment with how I wish to display my photographs. The ideas which I have so far include book formats and possibly an installation in which my text will be placed onto a clear material, and displayed just in front of my photograph. I will provide inspiration images further in this blog and explored sometime after Christmas.
